OCamlCore can provide its customers with high-quality support for OCaml and Open Source software.
The OCaml skill set is very rare. Taking advantage of our employees’ knowledge and their abilities to fix bugs on Open Source software, OCamlCore can provide a top quality maintenance service.
Typical maintenance OCamlCore can do:
- bug fixing in OCaml compilers and tools
- add features to OCaml libraries
- set up automatic packaging of OCaml software
- long term support for OCaml compilers and other OCaml projects (LTS)
If the maintenance is done on Open Source components, OCamlCore can take care of communication with the upstream developers and integration of the changes directly inside the Open Source distributed product.
Project example
A long standing missing feature for OCaml on Windows was ocamldebug, the OCaml debugger. With the financial support of Lexifi, OCamlCore integrated the missing code in INRIA’s OCaml distribution.
This project is typical of our Open Source work and commitment. A part of it had already been done by another member of the community and the result needed to be integrated in an Open Source product.
Since OCamlCore’s focus is OCaml, we are still supporting the changes introduced by this new feature, even though the project has finished.
